All-wood
C-5 is a really nice blade. It has a pleasant soft touch and feel when looping, providing gentle feedback in the palm. The thickness is 6.5mm and the weight is 75gr. It has a thick handle which is very comfortable for both forehand and backhand shots. Overall, it is a nice blade with a very reasonable price.
I wonder why more people haven’t reviewed this blade. It’s highly recommended for beginners.
The handle is very comfortable, especially for those with larger hands. The top ply is medium-soft, and the blade has some flex and soft vibrations, which are excellent for beginners learning to feel the ball. It also has a slight catapult effect.
The speed is slow, but this can be solved by using a pair of hard, boosted rubbers. I use Loki Rxton 45° (boosted 7x) on my forehand and 729 Cross General 42° orange sponge (boosted 5x), and it’s a very good setup.
The dwell time is good, which can help you learn how to brush the ball better. Spinny serves, loops, and flicks are very fun to execute.
Overall, this blade is a good choice for beginners learning table tennis and leveling up their skills and techniques. It’s very easy to use and fun to play with.
