Composite/carbon
Not for novices, you need to give this blade a few sessions before discovering its full potential. A worthy upgrade from the original Acoustic All Wood, which is in a class of its own, the carbon versions have upgraded all the small shortfalls of the original and made this carbon version a beast of a blade.
A little harder feel, but nothing lacking for the plastic ball. Spin, control, feel, and touch are still all there, with extra speed. Blocking is its best feature.
Very, very fast, but easy to play.
This blade is a faster version than its predecessor, the Inner Carbon.
Victas TDE fh and Yasaka Rakza Z bh do all very well. Excellent. The best blade I played for far…
Fantastic service provided by customer service.
They reply to all queries ASAP and within their office hours.
The Acoustic Carbon is a true upgrade to the original Acoustic blade. Apart from a slightly harder feel, the carbon version manages to maintain the same touch and feel while providing extra speed.
Blocks are particularly effective with this blade, offering plenty of speed—something that was slightly lacking in the original Acoustic. I found the throw angle to be high, perhaps even a little higher than the all-wood version.
Overall, the Acoustic Carbon is a lively blade, deserving a 10/10 rating. This blade is suitable for intermediate players and beyond who want to maximize their performance. Novices will likely prefer the original all-wood Acoustic.
For Asian players, I would suggest sticking to the normal handle. I opted for the LG FL handle based on forum recommendations, but ultimately, I found it didn’t fit my hand well.
Apart from that, the feel of this blade is excellent!
I love Nittaku blades. This is one of my favorites.
I also love the Nittaku Acoustic. This blade is faster, but still offers great control.
Excellent control with sufficient speed!
Paired with Fastarc G1 2.0 and Moristo SP 2.0 rubbers, it creates a very good combination – I would call it “controlled aggression”.
Special thanks to tabletennis11 for the service! Wishing you success!
If you prefer feeling over speed, Butterfly Inner ALC is a common choice. However, this Acoustic blade, despite having the carbon on the outer layer, still delivers a wood-like feel.
Compared to Viscaria, the Acoustic blade has more feel and isn’t much slower. The weight also helps with blocking, as Viscaria is, on average, 2g lighter. I feel that the Viscaria ball trajectory is more straight and fast, whereas the Acoustic Carbon has more control and arc, partially due to the different outer wood layers between the two blades.
If an outer layer carbon blade has this much feel, I wonder what an inner Acoustic Carbon blade would feel like. Overall, I am very happy with the blade.
A very pleasant blade with good control and sound, a neutral balance, and a weight of 91g that doesn’t feel heavy. It can be played with both soft and hard rubbers, and short pips work well with it.
This is my second purchase of the same blade, but with a larger handle. It retains all the same advantages, and the blade offers a faster reaction and more balance compared to the ones with normal handles.
A faster blade than I had before. It needs time to get used to.
The most precise racket I’ve purchased so far.
I also own DHS Ma Long 3, Ma Long 5, Tibhar Force Pro Black, Nittaku Barwell Fleet, etc. The ball goes exactly where you intend it to. It doesn’t vibrate. It’s sensitive to different types of rubbers. Currently, I’m using it with a Razka X on the forehand and a DHS TG2 + a layer of Falco Boost on the backhand.
My model is heavy, weighing 94g. The handle is a wide concave shape, almost universal: almost straight, yet still concave, and comfortable for those who like anatomical grips like me. The weight isn’t noticeable, and it remains balanced.
The blade is fast but less powerful than the Barwell Fleet. The control near the table is among the best available. The precision is excellent in the mid-distance.
There are better options for playing far from the table, such as the Barwell Fleet or a DHS Ma Long 5, which are superior in comparison. However, depending on the rubbers, you can still achieve good results. The throw angle is rather low.
It’s quite stiff initially, but you get used to it very quickly, and you’ll be amazed by the precision. Some blades provide heavier topspin, but this one is still within the good average.
However, despite the rather low throw angle, the topspin trajectory creates a nice arc, which surprised me initially. This results in a dipping ball after the bounce, which is very valuable.
Although moderately powerful, chops near the table can be troublesome for the opponent because you can play a very precise short game. Hitting is also very good; once you find the right angle, it’s a pleasure.
If you put in the power (muscle), defenders will struggle a bit. This needs to be qualified, as I have a 94g model. It’s worth seeing how lighter models perform.
This racket forces you to change your playing style for better improvement. It’s rather expensive, but recommended.
I bought this blade on TT11 at a great price.
However, the craftsmanship isn’t on par with the classic Acoustic. The head isn’t symmetrical.
It’s faster than the Acoustic Wood but maintains the elasticity and the arc.
Uncomfortable handle!
The blade was delivered quickly and as requested, weighing exactly 88g LG FL. The customer service at TT11 is top quality.
During the first couple of sessions, I noticed that the large handle was rather angular and square, like a big old screwdriver or woodworking tool. It was quite rough in texture and caused some irritation to my hand, so I got the sandpaper out and did some re-shaping with 150/220/400 grit papers. Perfection! The longer, fatter handle stock shaped and polished nicely and feels more stable in a man-sized hand than the standard handle. It seems to reduce over-wristing on certain shots where it’s not desired.
In terms of the blade characteristics, it is a 5+2 wood/carbon blade that feels like a hard, stiff wood blade (no flex/vibration), yet maintains superb feel for the ball. The speed and spin are excellent, and the control is absolutely amazing.
I’m only going to rate numerically here, as this is about the LG handle versus the standard. Read my NAC review under that heading.
Great piece of equipment from Nittaku and TT11.
I purchased both the flared (FL) and straight (ST) handle versions with the large handle. Both are excellent! They are ideal blades for blocking, attacking, and looping close to the table.
I purchased two Acoustic Carbon blades. Even the Large Handle version is a little thinner than I expected.
The ST handle is thinner than the FL handle, and the FL handle is similar to a Stiga ST handle.
The touch is soft, which is beneficial for looping with Hurricane III as a forehand. For my backhand, Nittaku Hammond FA Speed is more suitable than Moristo SP.
Control: Very good.
Feel: Very nice, good.
Weight: Very, very, very, very heavy.
Best for power hits.
The blade offers excellent control, directing the ball precisely where intended. It doesn’t feel like a carbon blade; instead, it resembles a wooden blade in its handling.
When executing topspins, it produces a loud, cracking sound and exhibits good flex. I liked it so much that I ordered two. I’m currently using Adidas Tenzone Ultra on both the forehand and backhand.
Looking for a carbon blade with a wood feeling? Look no further! This is it!
