Review: R50 2.0 mm red and black on Joola Vyzaryz Trinity.

Ratings:

  • Blocking: 10/10
  • Looping: 9.5/10
  • Countertopspin: 9.7/10
  • Serving: 9.5/10
  • Receiving: 9/10
  • Spin Sensitivity: 9/10 (not super reactive)
  • Speed: 9.2/10 (between G-1 and T05)
  • Power: 10/10 (bottoming out doesn’t happen when adding power to other shots)
  • Control: 9.5/10 (on the right blades)

Characteristics:

  • Dwell time is between T05 and T05 Hard.
  • Better rotation capabilities, less sensitive to spin.
  • A tad slower than T05 on base shots but has a higher speed reserve.
  • This rubber tends to work well on mid-hard or hard-feeling blades with a mild amount of flex.
  • Very good on all-wood blades all the way to stiffer blades like Zhang J ZLC.

I’ve been using this rubber on a Novacell OFF for quite some time now. On the forehand, this thing is great. I am able to generate massive spin on loops close and far away from the table. There is also quite a lot of speed, and I am able to easily put the ball past my opponent. Serving is great, but tacky Chinese rubbers are better for it.

This rubber is an absolute beast. The speed is simply amazing. I put it on an Innerforce alc, and it was incredibly fast and spinny. Way faster and spinnier than tenergy 05.

I think that rasanters are game changers. If you are seeking a tenergy 05 try this rubber. This is not an alternative, though—this is better.

Great rubber! I have been using it on my backhand for 3 months and switched it to my forehand a couple of weeks ago.
It’s quite fast, has a lot of spin, and has very good control considering how fast the rubber is.
The only thing I don’t like about it is the receives; it’s definitely harder to return than with R47.
Overall, it’s a great rubber.

In my opinion, this rubber is a BEAST. It is way faster than Tenergy, and spin is a cakewalk with this rubber.

Rubber not for beginners! I tried the Rasanter R50 2.0mm red on Garaydia ALC and the Max version on the Fire Fall VC.

With this rubber, you can impart a huge amount of spin on opening loops by brushing the ball so much; I’ve never seen other rubbers give this much spin. Compared to Rasanter R47, the R50 provides more spin also in services and is better on counter-loops over the table.

The trajectory in topspins is not long, and you will always find the table (e.g., the Donic Z1 has a longer trajectory). Pushes are uncomfortable for the opponent because the backspin is very high.

I have tried many rubbers like Z1, Z2, EL-S, MX-S, MX-P, Aurus Prime, Joola Rhyzer 48 and Pro 50, Omega VII Pro, Omega V Tour and Pro, Mizuno Q3, etc., and for me, this is the best overall. Some other rubbers are better in counterloops or services, but this is the most balanced for me. Bye everybody :).

Trying to replace Rasant Powergrip on all my 14 or so paddles will not be easy because Andro is phasing it out slowly. Rasanter 50 is an excellent choice, besides being an Andro product, it is also made by ESN, both my favorites. I have R50 glued on an Yin He N-9, not the newer version N-9S. Andro R50 has good power, speed, and spin, which is what you should expect in a good offensive rubber. And 50 degrees is just perfect for boosting with Tempo Long Term Booster. I hope my review was helpful.

This is a very good rubber to use, especially on the backhand (BH). This rubber is perfectly made for fighting against the plastic ball and can generate huge amounts of spin and speed while having great control.

However, I wouldn’t advise a beginner to buy this rubber. It is more suited for people with good technique.

This rubber makes BH topspin against backspin very easy. It wouldn’t seem as if there was backspin by the amount of spin it can create. So very good rubber, but it’s for more advanced players.

Great rubber. Easy to lift heavy backspin, and the sound of the sweet spot is great (“tong, tong”). It has a great sound. The rubber itself is very fast without losing any feeling or control whatsoever. I really recommend this rubber to experienced players who can really enjoy its quality. By the way, this is a tensor rubber and the info should be updated ASAP. After further testing, I have realized that this rubber has one weakness, which is serves.

I used Viscaria ALC with DI rubber. It’s a very good combination that suits my style well. DI is the best rubber after Tenergy and Dignics, and it’s the best rubber for the price. I use max thickness on the forehand and 2.0mm on the backhand.

Es un caucho que proporciona una eficiente combinación de efecto y velocidad, hace fácil levantar bolas con una técnica simple de topspin, un buen caucho.

Muy excelente.

Played with 2.0 on several blades. Works well with carbon blades and wood blades. Needs blades that have a medium or mid-high throw angles to be consistently safe without pressure mounting on technical strokes. Drives, blocks, counters, and loops well. Serving, receiving, and flipping were a bit harder and less consistent, perhaps due to the slightly strong catapult effect when on the table. Very spinny rubber. Best suited for blades like Barwell Fleet, Stiga Rosewood V, Fang Bo B2X or any other mid-stiff blade with med-high throw. Mid-throw and longer trajectory than R53 or R47 in my experience. If you wanted a bit more dwell time but liked G-1 before, this is a G-1 with more dwell and power. No major issues that are unwarranted from user error.

R50 2.0 mm on Tibhar Drinkhall Powerspin Carbon. Blistering speed, power reserves that sound like hitting wood every time but the ball does not bottom out. Super easy to block, flick, and to make backspin by even good pushers or choppers seem like novices. I found it does have a bit of trouble in the serving department, receives are above average control for the speed of this rubber. It seems to be a mark 5 level of control when you want to keep the ball on the table but it’s super fast and then T05 on steroids on the back burner waiting to counter, open, or just outright blast through your opponents with heavy spin and safe arcs on 95% of my shots. This is like a safe alternative to T05 with better control, the same spin, slightly safer arc, and easier to punch through the ball without dumping the ball. TLDR: better than T05 with more speed, control, and at least the same spin. Easy loop, block, push/chop, counter, flick, and brush. Serves are a bit tough to get used to, but you can do it if you relax and brush the ball.

Thank you for the excellent service, Table Tennis. The rubber is of high quality. It grips the ball well.

#16December 2020

Second best to R48.

#17April 2020

This rubber ticks all the boxes for a great attacking rubber. I use it in 2mm as a backhand rubber on Stiga Clipper WRB. It is fast, generates lots of spin, and offers great control. I use R47 on the forehand. Sometimes I twiddle, but that’s the general setup. It is very durable and actually seems to improve the more you use it.

#18February 2020

This excellent rubber from Andro requires good technique to unleash its potential! It’s one of the best I have ever used for my aggressive forehand attack.

#19June 2019

It is very fast, the same as T05, but with more spin. Great control. Of course, I still prefer the R47, mostly black as it is a bit slower but has lots of spin.

#20April 2019

Has good control due to the thin top sheet. You can feel the ball gripped by the rubber, but you need to have faster strokes. This is a more advanced rubber for fast swing speeds. You need to be able to compress the sponge to get the full benefit. Not too good for serves though.

#21January 2019

Good combination with 190 Stiga shakehand forehand. Able to create spinny returns.

#22December 2018

Отличная накладка для мощной агрессивной игры, но срок службы не очень хороший.

#23August 2018

Very good rubber for looping; control is good too.

#24February 2023

Bought it to replace Victas Ventus Extra since this has a hardness of 50 and Victas is 47.5. I use it as my FH and it’s a great rubber, easy to handle the underspin and has lots of power. One small issue I noted is that the rubber gets very damp/wet when the humidity is high. When that happens, you have to hit the ball very hard or the ball directly goes into the net. This doesn’t happen with Victas and you can’t use your hand to wipe because the rubber surface is so wet. But overall, a great rubber. I might try R53 next time.

#25October 2022

I took this rubber for my friend, and he is very happy with it. He is using it for his backhand, and the result is excellent.

#26July 2022

Very fast for me, but an experienced player just loved it.

#27March 2022

I am very pleased with the purchase. A versatile rubber with medium sponge hardness. In terms of durability, I can’t say anything yet because I have been playing with it relatively recently. Good control for blocking and easy to start the first move. I am currently using it on the V-14 Pro base. Fits well, feels better than Omega 7 Euro (which is perceived as very soft on this base).

#28September 2020

Rubbers are very good!

#29July 2020

Las gomas andan muy bien. Yo usaba Tenergy 05 FX y me fui de Butterfly por el precio. Son gomas buenas, las recomiendo mucho más para el revés. Muy buen giro y control.

#30February 2020

This rubber I like a lot, a friend who came from Cuba and plays at a good level recommended it to me, he told me that the current champion of Cuba uses it. Recommended!

Накладки Andro Rasanter R50 качественные и быстрые – уже несколько раз покупал для себя и для друзей! Рекомендую!

#32July 2019

This rubber has very good control and good speed but is a little slower than the V47 of Velocity version. I’m using a Butterfly Primorac Carbon OFF+, and I can give back almost everything easily with much spin, but sometimes I want more speed. Excellent for players who want speed and much control too.

#33March 2019

Fast, well-controlled rubber, spins well, but also performs well in flat game. May be too fast on stiff blades.

#34January 2019

Easy to control with good speed.

#35September 2018

It is not for beginners.
You need to have more experience to use this rubber.

#36July 2018

Very good, especially with less stiffness in the top layer of the blade.

#37March 2018

Best rubber for me. Front rubber.

#38January 2018

Very nice rubber. I can do many spins, and when I need power, it has it. I love it. The control on this rubber is great for pushes and off-table play. Great rubber for intermediate players.
