Excellent rubber with potential for more spin while maintaining its other characteristics.
Hello,
I used this rubber, red, max, in backhand (BH) in my amultart and H-WL. It’s a good rubber for returns, blocks, counters, and smashes (in forehand - FH). If you can smash in BH, you’ll have great, absolute dominance.
However, it’s not suitable for topspinning an underspin ball. It makes my opponent feel that they have a strong underspin. Lol. If you loop in BH like me, this might not be appropriate for you. Aside from that, this sheet is awesome.
I’ve seen comments about durability. To address this, just cover it with T-foil and apply WD40 every month. Mine is four months old, yet still plays very well.
It loses its spin rather quickly.
Review:
This rubber is excellent. It provides exceptional spin, which has significantly improved my attacking game. Despite its spinny nature, it also offers great control and feel for blocks. I purchased it from tabletennis11.com at the lowest price compared to other online retailers such as ttnpp and dandoy.
Update:
After two months of use, the rubber has unfortunately started to break off. This is disappointing, as it is otherwise a great rubber.
Is this rubber good for backhand or forehand?
This rubber provides good spin and control, making it particularly effective for flat smashes. The rubber’s forgiveness against spin and smash helps players mitigate errors and enhances playability. Its deadly performance against opponents is a notable advantage.
My forehand (max) and backhand (2mm) rubber is very good for blocking and mid-distance power-looping.
It is fast but does not have much topspin, making it ideal for blocking and punching. However, it may struggle with topspinning against heavy backspin.
Its good no doubt, but its durability sucks. After a couple of months, the sides will start chipping off.
The best rubber I have used. It offers good speed, spin, and control. It’s a fast rubber with good control.
It’s very spiny and ideal for looping.
This rubber excels in close table and mid table attacking playstyles. While I haven’t personally tested it for long table gameplay, its impressive spin, loop, drive, and smashes have been evident in my own experience. Additionally, the rubber provides effective blocking capabilities for backhand play.
This rubber is very spinny. It’s hard to control, but it’s very powerful. The sponge is soft and bouncy, which makes it easy to generate spin. The surface is tacky, which helps to grip the ball. Overall, this rubber is a good choice for players who want to generate a lot of spin.
Why does Donic make the rubber so expensive, but the rubber only lasts for about two months?
Which one is better in speed and spin, Tenergy 05 or Ang Platin?
The Donic Coppa JO Platin is a rubber specifically designed for mid-distance looping. It provides very powerful loops with excellent control. It is suitable for opening loops, but I found it more effective for counterlopping. When re-looping a ball, the rubber generates incredible speed and spin.
This amazing mid-distance rubber excels at blocking and is ideal for OFF+ attackers. However, it falls short in close-to-the-table attacks.
This rubber has a great feel. However, the downside is that it lasts two months or less.
It is very good in mid-distance attack, but in close table attack, it is not as good.
I personally like the Donic Coppa Jo Platin due to its bounce speed off of loops and serves. The speed is incredible on this rubber. I use this on both sides and my balls fly!
The spin is also a factor, allowing for nasty loops and serves.
Absolutely amazing for attackers with hard topspin, smashes, and precision. In terms of the short game, it plays slowly and is controllable. Serves could be more spinny.
However, attacking from mid-distance is what I like the most about this rubber.
Fantastic! Used in Joola Kool on my forehand, it has medium control, great speed, and spin. When dominated, blocking the attacks becomes deadly for opponents!
Produces nice spin and has good control on the table during offensive attacks.
Great rubber for spinning, but it is a little soft for the new ABS+. Great spin at close and mid distances from the table.
I’ve been using this for my backhand for the last few months, and I find it’s more in my wheelhouse than Yasaka Mark V (previous BH rubber).
To me, it has a bit more speed and spin, and a great feeling when backhand driving. As a bonus, I’m really addicted to the sound a powerful backhand hit makes with this rubber (over wood blade), a sharp crack!
Touch play and backhand serving are also great. The rubber has grip but isn’t tacky, so you can calibrate quite easily.
Great!
I used to use Butterfly and JD Gold for the forehand. Recently, I changed to JD Platin and am very happy with the speed. I have been practicing for about 2 weeks and have already adjusted well.
Wonderful product, fast delivery. Thanks to Tabletennis11 for the fast shipping, only 10 days to Macedonia - too fast! Greetings from Macedonia. I will be a permanent customer of Tabletennis11.
Good quality product at a good price. Very controllable and very fast as well.
For the player who likes to attack close to the table, it adapts very well to these kinds of moves. The arc of it is smaller and therefore does not get to skip over the racket. For anyone who plays close to the table, it is ideal.
Perfect rubber for my block-based game. I glued it on my Xiom Axelo but I am sure it’s even better on Xiom Strato. That’s next! A bit old school but so am I.
Very good control and fast enough. The backhand punch is great!
Blocking and fishing are a breeze. The placement improved a lot!
Too hard for me.
Perfect!
I got the 2.0mm in black on my backhand of a Waldner Ultra Senso Carbon. I chose this rubber because I wanted something with good speed that wasn’t spin-sensitive. When compared to my Tenergy 05 FX, I found that the Coppa had the same speed on smashes, but it’s the short spinny balls where the Coppa became my choice because the 05FX had too much catapult against fast spinny serves. Coppa isn’t as spinny either, but if spin isn’t an important part of your game, then that’s a good thing. It has a bit of a low throw so the blade is always more open. The pushes aren’t as direct or spinny as 05FX. I can see why Waldner uses these rubbers when you watch his style. Conclusion… Coppa Platin is good for people who like to push long, serve long and fast, have less catapult on serve returns, block, and have an overall balance of speed and control. There are better rubbers for safe over the net looping, but if you play a style like Waldner, then this is a great choice.
For players who like to attack close to the table, it adapts very well to these types of plays. Its arc is smaller and therefore does not bounce as much off the racket. For those who play close to the table, it is ideal.
Great Rubber, Works great with Donic Carbon blade. Great control and lots of spins from looping. Highly recommended. This rubber represents a good value without spending too much.
Works great with Donic CarboTec. I hope this rubber lasts as long as the ones with natural rubber top sheet products. It performs great.
